Meditation: Mindfulness of The Breath and The Mind
About me
I grew up near Philadelphia and earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Pennsylvania in 2003. In 2007 I received my medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, where I also trained as an intern in Psychiatry. For four years I directed the Psychiatry Consultation Service at Banner University Medical Center Tucson and then moved into Integrated outpatient settings including Primary Care and Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinics. I established the Mindfulness Clinic at Banner University Medical Center South, where I saw individual patients for mindfulness-based psychotherapy and taught Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) groups for depression. I founded Mindful Hummingbird, PLLC to pursue teaching mindfulness full-time, and remain an Associate faculty member with the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry. I live in beautiful Tucson, land of the Pascua Yaqui and Tohono O'odham, with my husband and adorable, tiny dog.
I love working with
all types of people and greatly appreciate learning from different perspectives and backgrounds than my own.
