Meditation: Healing Touch Compassion

About me

Suzie founded Melbourne Insight Meditation (MIM) in 2009 where she has led sitting groups for over a decade. She was invited to become an Insight Meditation teacher by her Australian and US teachers and has been trained through Insight teacher training programs with her main mentors, James Baraz (Berkeley, USA) and Subhana Barzaghi & Carol Perry (Australia). She also co-leads the MIM Ecodharma group and offers workshops in climate grief, anxiety and activism. She currently teaches as a mentor for Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach's Mindfulness Mentor Teacher Training Program. Suzie also has many years’ experience teaching yoga and running yoga retreats for her Sri Lankan/Australian yoga teacher, Channa Dassanayaka. Her meditation experience stems from 30 years of yoga practice and 15 years of Insight and Zen meditation retreats and training. She has spent time living in a Thai Forest monastery in Australia and multiple trips to India to study yoga. Suzie lives on Darkinjung land on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia, with her husband and young daughter at an ecovillage where she enjoys running the vegetable gardens and producing food for her community!

I love working with

anyone who choose to open to the dharma in the spirit of love and compassion for self and others, and the willingness to let go.
