About me
Kristen May (she/they) is a Mindfulness Facilitator, mentor, speaker, comedic improvisor, and engineer by trade whose work centers mindfulness, collective liberation, and authentic expression. Kristen’s journey began in the high-stress world of engineering, where she encountered burnout that led her to her first silent meditation retreat in 2013. What began as a path to personal healing grew into a calling to serve others through mindfulness, humor, and storytelling. Kristen is certified as a Mindfulness Facilitator through UCLA’s MARC Institute (UCLA Mindful), Mindfulness Mentor with Banyan, Trained Teacher with Inward Bound Mindfulness, and currently in Spirit Rock’s Community Dharma Leaders program. Her guidance and facilitation are informed by her own ongoing unlearning and liberation work, and she is especially passionate about bringing mindfulness practices to youth and communities that have been historically excluded from wellness spaces. Through her platform, maylovelight, she shares reflections, humor, and tools for presence and personal transformation. You can find her on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram @maylovelight.
